Born to North Dakota farmers in 1923,
Steve migrated with his family to
California in February, 1952 to become
an apprentice at Eason Grinding.

Six years later he ventured on to Atlas
Grinding along with future business
partners Carter Dennis and George
McCulley. It was 1965 when the three
decided to open their own enterprise:
Angelus Precision Grinding.

After the deaths of Carter and Geroge,
Steve became the sole proprietor in
1991. He is now celebrating his sixth
decade in the industry.

Steve lives in Long Beach with his wife,
Leonarda. When not spending time
catching up with his six children and
nineteen grandchildren, you can catch
him at Dodger Stadium...cheering just behind
the third base dugout and usually enjoying a Dodger Dog.
