Founded in February, 1965, Angelus has remained a steady fixture located at the same South Gate address since its inception. Its proprietors, Steve Riske, Carter Dennis, and George McCulley had all worked together in the 1950's and early 60's at both Eason Grinding and Atlas Grinding. Later on, the trio realized southern California's industrial empire warranted a new grinding facility based on providing master craftsmanship coupled with fair pricing. Thus, Angelus Grinding was born.

After the untimely losses of George in 1976 and Carter in 1985, Steve became the sole proprietor in 1991, carrying on the standard of excellence which the company was built upon.

After years of grinding primarily smaller jobs, the company purchased a Heald #74 Bridge Type Internal Grinder in 1993 and a 34" x 144" Norton Cylindrical Grinder in 2000 to handle large-capacity jobs.

Over the years, Angelus has maintained its reputation for precise, clean grinding with exceptionally quick turnaround. Our team boasts over 125 combined years' experience in the industry and look forward to continuing the art of precision grinding into the new millennium.
